I am back from exile. It is restorative to take a break from the daily demands and even the pleasures that have become rituals. To see where you are, you need a little distance.
Filled now with clear thoughts and intentions of self-improvement, it is no longer baffling to think of someone hotglueing toys to a headband to achieve eye-catching whimsey. In a time when people seem to be smiling less, it seems like time very well spent.
